Simple Pleasures

When I look at most of the short pieces I've written, I feel it's got tones of defiance, maybe anger, frustration and a lot of questioning. I don't write enough "soft and fluffy" pieces, so this is now one of them.

Off on a tangent but Nela and I have our own bowls of ice cream in our freezer. His favourite is Cookies and cream. I usually get chocolate, but I like the ones that have chocolate brownie pieces in them.

Sometimes I'll sneakily eat his ice cream, especially if he's at work. Just a tiny little bowl. Is it the guilt or is it the secrecy of kaipo, but sweets taste a lot better when it's not yours. Easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. 😅 😂
